Grounded in experience. Strengthening systems. Expanding access.
With more than 30 years of experience in special education, I bring a depth of knowledge spanning classroom teaching, district leadership, and higher education. I have served elementary, middle, and high school communities as a special education teacher, instructional coach, and district-level program support leader.
I partner with school districts to strengthen special education systems while providing practical, hands-on support for educators. My work often includes coaching new and experienced special education teachers, observing student behavior to identify effective supports, and guiding teams in developing high-quality Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
Grounded in special education law, evidence-based behavioral practices, and inclusive instructional design, my work centers on helping schools expand access for students with disabilities. I support educators in creating learning environments where students can access their education, develop meaningful skills, and learn alongside their same-age peers whenever possible. Through coaching, collaboration, and problem-solving, I help teams build the knowledge and confidence needed to support every student. At ACCESS Education Systems Consulting, the goal is simple: help schools expand access, strengthen systems, and ensure every student has the opportunity to learn, belong, and succeed.
